The Heart of my Practice
- honoring the medicine i carry -
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, a city rich in Chicano culture and the endless stories of migration, survival, and resilience. My parents, navigating life between two worlds, raised me with both the ancestral knowledge they carried and the assimilation of the 90s and 2000s. I learned to walk with this blend of tradition and modern culture, always feeling the pull of my roots in México. Though my great-grandparents have passed, their presence remains with me—in the quiet guidance of dreams, the rituals I keep, and the medicine that flows through me.
Throughout my 24 years of life, I have been blessed with the knowledge that has been bestowed upon me by many teachers, of the earth and otherwise. I was educated at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in Botany, where I learned to see the world as a living tapestry — every root, tide, and breath intertwined. My studies continued at the American College of Healthcare Sciences, where I immersed myself in their herbalist degree program and earned a micro-credential in homeopathic consulting, discovering the meeting place between earth medicine and human experience.
My journey later carried me to Whapio and The Matrona, where I explored quantum midwifery — the sacred dance of life, birth, and transformation. For three years, I also guided others on their health journey as a holistic Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis Consultant (HTMA), listening to the elemental language written within the body, restoring balance from the inside out.
Each step of this journey has deepened my reverence for the intelligence of nature — for the truth that healing is not something we chase, but something we remember. It is a return - to the soil, to the spirit, and to the quiet rhythm that connects all living things.
My work is an offering of my lineage: a weaving of curanderismo, herbalism, womb wisdom, and the midwifery studies I now pursue. I do not diagnose or prescribe—I listen, I tend, I hold space. Each plática, limpia, or herbal consultation is rooted in respect for the body, spirit, and the ancestors who remind us of our own capacity to heal. This is not only my practice; it is a continuation of something much older, carried forward with care.
A Dedication
To those whose names I know, and those whose names have been forgotten by time—this work is for you.
I honor my great-grandparents, whose spirits continue to walk beside me. Though their bodies have returned to the earth, their prayers still echo in mine, their strength still flows through my veins. I feel them in the plants that call to me, in the dreams that visit me, in the quiet knowing that I am never alone.
I give thanks to my grandparents, who still walk this earth with us. Their love, resilience, and presence are daily reminders of where I come from and who I carry with me. They are living bridges between memory and future, between what has been and what is yet to come.
This altar is my offering: a place to remember, to honor, and to give thanks. May every photo, every word, every act of healing be a prayer for them—for all those who came before, and for the generations who will carry this work forward long after me.
